To enable the Premium Labor Rate Adders feature, ensure the Premium Labor Rate Adders checkbox is selected on the Application Settings screen and the following profile rules are selected for the users who need access to the premium labor rate adders feature.
AGR: User can add Premium Rate Adders
AGR: User can delete Premium Rate Adders
AGR: User can edit Premium Rate Adders
AGR: User can view Premium Rate Adders
ALLO: User can select rate adders on allocations
Premium labor rate adder is an additional amount paid for each hour of work based on certain criteria. Inclement weather, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and work at height are a few examples of the premium rate adder conditions. Completion incentive is described as the rate amount accrued for each hour of work but not paid until the predetermined condition has been met. The assigned rate percentage or amount would increase the straight time, overtime, or double-time rates when one or more premium rate adder conditions are applied.
Hover a mouse pointer over the Settings menu link on the menu bar to display its drop-down menu.
Slide mouse pointer over the Labor option to display its menu.
Click Premium Labor Rate Adders
to open the Premium Labor Rate Adders screen.
If applicable, select a location from the Location drop-down list.
Select an organization from the Organization drop-down list.
Select an agreement from the Agreement drop-down list.
Select a labor skill from the Skill drop-down list.
From the Define New Premium Rate Adders area, enter the effective start and end dates into the Effective Start Date and Effective End Date text boxes. Alternatively, select the dates from the calendars. (see also Date Format)
Click the Percentage% button to enter the percentage rate or the Rates button to enter the rate amount.
Enter the condition name into the Condition text box.
Enter the percentage rate or rate amount into the ST, OT, DT, R4, R5, and/or R6 text boxes.
Click the Add link to add the new premium labor rate adders to the Premium Labor Rate Adders Listing.
From the Premium Labor Rate Adders Listing, click the Edit icon on a line item to enable the ST, OT, DT, R4, R5, and R6 text boxes.
Make changes to the appropriate rates.
Click the Update icon to save and display the modifications in the Premium Labor Rate Adders Listing.
From the Premium Labor Rate Adders Listing, click the Delete icon on line item. The delete confirmation pop-up message appears.
Click OK to delete the selected premium labor rate adder.
